Revolutionary in design, The Beatles REVOLUTION Lounge takes guests on a journey, where both music and interior transform, creating a psychedelic sensory environment. The first nightlife experience created by Cirque du Soleil, REVOLUTION blends cutting-edge interactive design, art and sound in a contemporary interpretation of The Beatles era exclusively at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
"The inspiration for REVOLUTION began with The Beatles' message of love but the atmosphere is a modern twist on their era of freedom, self-expression and free-love," said Jean-Francois Bouchard, Senior Director of Creation, Cirque du Soleil Experience. From across the casino floor, REVOLUTION immediately catches the guest's attention with a towering display of 10-foot high letters.
Upon entering REVOLUTION, guests are wrapped in the words and thoughts of The Beatles by the lyric wall. Inside the lighting and projections create a sense of motion as the 5,000 square-foot ultra-lounge pulsates with light and shadow patterns above the main bar. Adorning the LSD ceiling of REVOLUTION are 30,000 dichroic crystals designed to reflect light throughout the lounge, an architectural representation of The Beatles' song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Guests are encouraged to add their own creativity to the ultra-lounge's décor. The electronic surface of the interactive VIP tables uses infrared technology, allowing guests to create tabletop artwork which is then projected onto the central diamond-shaped column. The application of this technology cannot be found anywhere else in the world, staying true to the innovation that placed Cirque du Soleil at the forefront of entertainment. Inspired by the graffiti at Abbey Road, the interactive graffiti encourages freedom of self-expression as was so prevalent in the Beatles' era.
Located just inside the multi-coloured letters of REVOLUTION is The Abbey Road Bar - a full service bar that gives guests a small taste of the REVOLUTION experience with its Yellow Submarine-inspired portholes and black and white striped floor reminiscent of the original Abbey Road.
The soundscape transforms from all Beatles music to a contemporary genre-bending mix ranging from funky lounge mixes, house, rock, electro, new wave and Brit pop. This musical progression combined with dramatic changes in lighting and projections result in an eclectic nightlife adventure at The Mirage.
The Beatles REVOLUTION Lounge at The Mirage is open from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. nightly. In addition to the ultra-lounge, the Abbey Road Bar is located in front of the main entrance of REVOLUTION, and is open noon - 4 a.m. daily. For table reservations call 702-692-8383.
